Changing accountants doesn't have to mean chaos in your documents. We show you what the move to a new accounting office looks like and what to keep in mind.
Businesses switch accounting offices for various reasons: no contact with their accountant, late tax returns, or growth that requires a different scope of service. The move itself is simpler than it seems — provided it is done in the right order.
Step by step
- Check the notice period in your current contract and terminate it in writing.
- Agree with the new office from which month it takes over your accounting — ideally from the start of a month or quarter.
- Grant the new office powers of attorney: for the tax office (UPL-1), ZUS and KSeF.
- Ask your previous office to hand over your records: books, registers, tax returns, HR documents and confirmations of settlements.
- Check the balance of settlements with the authorities together, so that nothing is left half-done.
How it works at JUGOMA
You make one decision — we do the rest: we contact your previous office and take over the records and settlement history. It usually takes 2–3 weeks and is free of charge, and your first month with us costs PLN 1.
